Direct Healthcare is a membership-based direct primary care practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. The practice provides personalized, concierge-level family medicine with a team that includes Dr. Rotella, Dr. Summers, and nurse practitioner Kathryn Havens. Members get direct access to their providers, same-day appointments, on-site phlebotomy, and comprehensive care coordination — all without the long waits and billing headaches of traditional healthcare.

When I became a doctor, I did NOT dream of seeing a new patient every 5 minutes, referring them to other physicians for their actual care, and staying late into the night typing up notes instead of being with my family. Unfortunately that is exactly the life of most family doctors who work for insurance companies. When my patients pay me directly, instead of going through their insurance, I am able to provide much better care because there is no doubt about how is in charge; I work directly for my patients! Without needing to jump through the hoops that insurance companies require, I need a smaller staff and have a smaller overhead, which means I need fewer patients to make ends meet. Fewer patients that I care for means I have more time to be with them during appointments and it's faster for them to make those appointments in the first place. The most common concern I have from new patients is that it just sounds too good to be true!

Dr Thomas Bailey, MD is a lifelong resident of the Youngstown, OH region. He attended pre-medical studies at Youngstown State University and obtained his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 1999. He returned to his hometown to complete his internal medicine residency training from 1999-2002. Following his residency, he established a traditional insurance-based outpatient medical practice in the Youngstown area. In 2011, Dr Bailey transitioned to hospital medicine, becoming the hospitalist for a large independent family practice clinic in the community. Frustrated by the growing unaffordability of health care and the erosion of the doctor-patient relationship in the US healthcare system, Dr Bailey found hope in the growing direct primary care movement. In January 2024, he returned to independent practice, opening the first direct primary care internal medicine practice in his community, Mahoning Valley Direct Primary Care. Located in Austintown, OH, the clinic serves adult patients 18 years of age and older. For a fixed and transparent monthly fee , members receive routine preventative care, management of chronic conditions and treatment of common acute illnesses in the clinic. A variety of lab tests and procedures are all included in the price of monthly membership to the practice (see services ). His approach to patient care is highly personal, and he strives to be available to patients whenever he is needed. "The goal is bringing back trust to the doctor patient relationship, making care accessible, personalized and affordable to all", remarks Dr Bailey. He is a trusted partner in his patients' health journeys, working to help them achieve and maintain their health rather than focusing only on "sick care".

Cindy is a board- certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of clinical experience. Cindy has worked in different healthcare settings with experience in preventative health and wellness, chronic disease management, health coaching and acute care. Her passion is educating patients on how to stay well and how to live with chronic diseases. Cindy opened Sandhill Direct Health to open up access to primary care and keep health care affordable. There has been a lack of relationship based providers and her goal is to keep the community healthy and educated on their health.
